Zero meission partnership with Geangzhou Municipality
This Renault-Nissan Alliance, the people's government of Guangzhou Municipality and Dongfeng Motor Company announced a partnership to promote the use of zero emission vehicles in Guangzhou City.The organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to study the plan including a infrastructure development, government incentive to make electric vehicles accessible to customers and public education programs to raise awareness on zero emission vehicles in the city of Guangzhou. The memorandum brings together representatives from each organization to identify opportunitites to promote the use of zero emission vehicles in Guangzhou.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the Renault-Nissan Alliance leading a collaborative approach with both business and government. The Alliance has signed more than 30 agreements worldwide to launch its first fully electric vehicle. Nissan will release the LEAF starting 2010 in Japan the United States and Europe and early 2011 in the Chinese market.
