If I purchased a Nissan from a private owner, was never made aware of a Nissan Extended Waranty, can it be transfered?
Just a Question, if I purchased a Nissan vehicle from a private owner, and never made me aware that he/she in fact had a Nissan Security+Plus Gold Preferred on the Nissan vehicle and I did not find out till something went wrong a year later, can it still be transfered to me?
I don't see why not. However, the pre-existing repair is all on you. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to transfer that coverage at the point of sale. The policy in this case would have been under the previous owner.
To transfer the policy, you will need to contact the selling individual.
Obtain a Transfer Request from your dealer, and have it signed by both the current vehicle owner and the new owner. Mail this form to the address below, along with a copy of the vehicle maintenance history or a Security+Plus Inspection check sheet from your Nissan dealership. Also include any applicable transfer fee (depending on the state, in the form of a check or money order payable to Nissan North America). Allow 4-6 weeks for the transfer to take effect. A new agreement will be mailed to the new owner. Nissan North America, Inc. Vehicle Service Contracts P.O. Box 680 Gardena, CA 90247

Nissan Bumper to Bumper Warranty, is it TRUE?
For years consumers and auto professionals have been referencing Nissan factory warranties as "Bumper to Bumper Warranties". Is this correct?
So does any vehicle these days have a "Bumper to Bumper" warranty?
Not really. Think about the words. Bumper to Bumper implies that the factory warranty would cover everything from front to back, bottom to top of the vehicle. Like most factory warranties out there, the basic 3 year or 36,000 mile covers mechanical breakdown of all components except a very short list of excluded components. In addition, the coverage is only for repairs needed to correct defects in materials.
So what is not covered?
Damage, failures or corrosion due to accidents, environmental conditions, lack of improper maintenance, misuse or alternations; altered or uncertain odometer mileage; salvage title; maintenance service expenses; seat belts, tires, drop-in bedliners and emission control system, and nissan spray-in bedliners. Read more about what is not covered under the Nissan Factory Warranty by reading section 6 of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty in the warranty information booklet.

What legitimate warranty product exists for vehicles post 100K miles?
That's a tough one. The vague answer is very few. Be cautious when purchasing a plan with mileage over 100k on your odometer. Make sure you read the fine print. Most legitimate companies will ask for a vehicle inspection to clear any pre-existing conditions before selling their legitimate extended service product. Nissan does not offer such a product at this time. Expect to only have minimal coverage. Engine and Drivetrain ( Powertrain Coverage ).
POWERTRAIN FACTORY WARRANTY COVERAGE: The Nissan factory warranty powertrain coverage period is 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. This Nissan warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Nisan powertrain warranty coverage applies to components listed in the warranty information booklet, supplied by Nissan except for those items listed under the caption "WHAT IS NOT COVERED" by the Nissan factory warranty
