Nissan year-end sales event
Nissan North America Inc. announced the A to Z year-end event starting November 24th 2009 and running through January 3rd 2010. The event is at Nissan dealers nationwide and celebrates quality, performance and special year-end offers like $199 a month for 39 months on the 2010 Altima. A national advertising campaign will support the event with broadcast spots on cable networks including Bravo, Comedy Central, Discovery, ESPN, ESPN 2, FX, HGTV, Sci-Fi and the History Channel.
Zero meission partnership with Geangzhou Municipality
This Renault-Nissan Alliance, the people's government of Guangzhou Municipality and Dongfeng Motor Company announced a partnership to promote the use of zero emission vehicles in Guangzhou City.
The organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to study the plan including a infrastructure development, government incentive to make electric vehicles accessible to customers and public education programs to raise awareness on zero emission vehicles in the city of Guangzhou. The memorandum brings together representatives from each organization to identify opportunitites to promote the use of zero emission vehicles in Guangzhou.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the Renault-Nissan Alliance leading a collaborative approach with both business and government. The Alliance has signed more than 30 agreements worldwide to launch its first fully electric vehicle. Nissan will release the LEAF starting 2010 in Japan the United States and Europe and early 2011 in the Chinese market.

Nissan has extended the Nissan New Vehicle Limited Warranty for the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) to 10 years/120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) for CVT transmission repairs, replacement, and related towing on all 2003-2010 model year Nissan vehicles equipped with the CVT. The remainder of the powertrain warranty coverage for components other than the CVT transmission remains unchanged. All other warranty terms, limitations and conditions otherwise apply.
Please note that this is not a safety recall, and there are no safety issues relating to your Continuously Variable Transmission.

2010 pricing for Nissan Cube
Nissan North America, Inc. announced pricing for the 2010 Nissan Cube today, which is on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide. The Cube is available in four models: cube 1.8, cube 1.8 S, cube 1.8 SL and the special cube 1.8 S Krom Edition. The MSRP for the 1.8 base model is unchanged from 2009. The front wheel drive cube is offered with a standard 122 horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the 2010 Nissan Cube a top safety pick. Every cube includes many standard safety features, including six standard air bags.

Hands-free phone system, leather wrapped steering wheel and steering wheel audio controls are now standard for the 2010 cube S and SL models. Standard equipment for the cube S models includes interface system for ipod, speed volume control and two additional speakers.
Nissan Scholarship Competition
Nissan launched a Nissan LEAF zero emission student competition on the 16th of November. The scholarship competition will allow university and collage student to express how the Nissan LEAF inspires them to make a better zero emission future. Students can join the competition through the Nissan Facebook page by clicking the green 2010 tab. One student from each participating university will selected as a winner based on creativity, originality and relevance to the theme. The winning students will be announced at the end of the LEAF zero emissions tour and will receive a $500 scholarship.

On November 13th the Renault- Nissan Alliance have made an agreement to advance zero emission mobility in the United States with Reliant Energy of Houston Texas. Reliant Energy is one of the major electricity providers in the nation. The announcement helps pave the way for the introduction of the Nissan LEAF in 2010, Nissan first zero-emission all electric car for the mass market.
As part of the agreement plans are being developed to promote a charging infrastructure for electric cars that encourages home, workplace, and public charging. Nissan and Reliant Energy will work to coordinate the establishment of policies and help streamline charging infrastructure deployment.
Infiniti's "Limited Engagement Winter Event"
Infiniti announced a "Limited Engagement Winter Event" with special offers on leasing and financing. The event celebrates two decades of sales in North America and is set to run through January 4th 2010. finance offers available include 0% APR financing up to 36 months on all the Infiniti performance luxury vehicles except for the Infiniti G37 convertible. lease offers include a $349 per month on the G37 Journey sedan with premium package or a $399 per moth on the EX35 Journey RWD or AWD.
October Sales Announced
Nissan North America Inc. reported sales for October 2009 at 60,115 units, an increase of 5.6 percent compared to October 2008 where 56,945 units were sold. Nissan division sales rose 7.7 percent while Infiniti vehicle sales were 9.3 percent lower than a year ago.
Nissan Highlights
- Nissan vehicle sales in October are 53,664 units. thats a 7.7 percent increase compared to October of last years sales at 49,833 units.
- A sales increase of 97.2 percent for the Nissan Armada, 67.6 percent increase for the Titan and a 48 percent increase in sales for the Frontier. Nissan Sentra sales increased 39.3 percent the 370z sales rose 59.1 percent and the Maxima sales increased 5.8 percent.
Infiniti Highlights
- October 2009 Infiniti sales were 6,451 units a drop in 9.3 percent from last years sales of 7,112 units.
- G Coupe sales rose 45.6 percent compared with last year in October 2008.
- The Infiniti QX56 posted sales at a 42.6 percent increase last month.
