As stated by the FTC. A service contract (Nissan Security+Plus) is a promise to perform (or pay for) certain repairs or services. Sometimes called an "Nissan Extended Warranty," a service contract is not a warranty as defined by federal law. A service contract may be arranged at any time and always costs extra; a warranty comes with a new car and is included in the original price.

Nissan Bumper to Bumper Warranty, is it TRUE?
For years consumers and auto professionals have been referencing Nissan factory warranties as "Bumper to Bumper Warranties". Is this correct?
So does any vehicle these days have a "Bumper to Bumper" warranty?
Not really. Think about the words. Bumper to Bumper implies that the factory warranty would cover everything from front to back, bottom to top of the vehicle. Like most factory warranties out there, the basic 3 year or 36,000 mile covers mechanical breakdown of all components except a very short list of excluded components. In addition, the coverage is only for repairs needed to correct defects in materials.
So what is not covered?
Damage, failures or corrosion due to accidents, environmental conditions, lack of improper maintenance, misuse or alternations; altered or uncertain odometer mileage; salvage title; maintenance service expenses; seat belts, tires, drop-in bedliners and emission control system, and nissan spray-in bedliners.
